About The Event

ISHTEDx is an annual event created in the spirit of TED’s overall message of “ideas worth sharing”. This event has been an integral part of the International School of Hyderabad’s annual events since 2016. Talented individuals across Hyderabad have come together to network, ideate, and present their insightful talks.

Our goal is to give young students a platform to share their passions, wisdom, experiences, and ideas. The event will encourage the sharing of beneficial skills for both audience and the speaker. Namely, critical thinking, open-mindedness, public speaking, and effective communication.

We Are An Environmentally Friendly Event.

In the spirit of the TEDx values and goals, we aim to be a single-use plastic-free event. All the merchandise, utensils, and decoration used in the event have been made with environmentally friendly materials or are being reused. We urge you to help us with this initiative by being mindful of personal waste and your carbon footprint!

Manya Reddy

Hi, I'm Manya Reddy, a junior at the International School Of Hyderabad. I'm passionate about playing the piano and social service. I run a platform called Vivlio which makes donating essential supplies to underprivileged schools easy. So far, we have donated 5,000 storybooks to various underprivileged schools. I look forward to organizing the event and hearing all the fantastic talks.

Rishik Kalagara

Hello there, I am Rishik Kalagara, an eleventh grader at the International School Of Hyderabad. I enjoy Economics, Chess and watching Star Wars (Han shot first). I like playing football and it's coming home in another four years. I am looking forward to hearing all of the informational talks.

Zara Xavier

Hey everyone. I’m a 16 year old junior at the International School of Hyderabad. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, playing guitar and piano, hanging with friends and going to the gym. I’m excited to be organising this year’s TEDx and I hope you enjoy what we have planned.

Nalini Mathur

Hi, I am Nalini Mathur, a junior at the International School Of Hyderabad. I have previously been a speaker two times at TedX ISH and have learned countless skills from both experiences. I am passionate about classic literature and contemporary fiction, composing and performing different genres of music (+ listening to Taylor Swift), and public speaking. I am extremely excited to hear the final speeches!

Akshath Nagulapally

Hi, I am Akshath, an 11th-grade student at the International School of Hyderabad. I am enthusiastic about playing the guitar and computer science. I look forward to organizing the event and I hope you will enjoy what we have planned.

Anvitha Kollipara

Hey, I’m a 16-year-old junior at the International School of Hyderabad. I’m passionate about social service, public speaking, and dance. I have a non-profit called CareGood Foundation and I was named a top 3 teen change-maker by Forbes. I can’t wait for you to see the outcome of this event and look forward to seeing you on March 29th.

Venue

The location for this event is T-Hub in Hyderabad. According to their website, “T-Hub is an innovation intermediary and business incubator based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Based on the triple helix model of innovation, it is a partnership between the Government of Telangana, three academic institutes in Hyderabad, and the private sector.” T-Hub is an ecosystem that enables out-of-the-box thinking and collaboration through sharing ideas. The goals of T- Hub aligns with the TEDx mission statement and supports the mission of our event.

Finding Synergy In Chaos: My experience with the Ukraine war

My name is Sagnika Nayak. I am in 11th grade at the International School Of Hyderabad and will be talking at TEDxISH about the importance of synergy with respect to Ukraine’s resilience given the war. From having lived in Ukraine for the past 16 years, I have experienced first-hand the unity that has emerged from the synergy of the people in their fight for freedom. These lessons are essential, especially for our new generation in learning the importance of collaboration and contribution.

What is TEDx?

What is TEDx? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Our event is called TEDxISH, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxISH event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
